Woman Critical, Man Stable After Being Shot Inside Calvert County Home, Sheriff Says

Two people were hospitalized overnight after being struck by a hail of bullets that were fired into a Calvert County home, officials say.

Deputies were called shortly after 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 to the 1600 block of Mint Court in Prince Frederick, where there were reports of shots fired in the area.

Upon arrival, members of the Calvert County Sheriff's office found a man with a gunshot wound to a leg and a woman was hit several times in her upper body.

According to investigators, an unknown suspect shot several rounds into the front of the residence, striking both, who were rushed to area trauma centers.

The woman was listed in critical condition, and the man was reportedly stable on Monday morning. No details about a possible suspect or motive has been released.
